Kalaeokaunaʻoa (Kahuku Point) Volunteer Workday

SATURDAY AT 9 AM – 12 PM

Join North Shore Community Land Trust for our community work days to mālama this special place on the second Saturday of each month.

 Meet  on the Kahuku side of the Turtle Bay Resort parking lot, near the Paradise Helicopters helipad by 9 a.m. A guide will lead volunteers on a coastal hike of about one mile to Kalaeokaunaʻoa (~20 minutes).

Restoration activities include invasive species removal, native out-planting, marine debris removal, and other dune restoration activities for a variety of ages and skill levels.

RSVPs are required in advance by signing up on Eventbrite.The group size will be limited to comply with current City & State guidelines. Masks are required upon arrival and during the workday. We will be weeding and planting outside while social distancing. Workdays are subject to change and last-minute cancellation due to the evolving nature of the pandemic.

Please remember to bring:- REQUIRED: A mask upon arrival and during the workday.
- A reusable water bottle with a minimum of 2 liters of water (please note: due to COVID-19 we will not be able to provide water refills).
- Your own gloves and weeding tools if possible, to minimize sharing (we will also provide clean and sanitized gloves and tools)
- Reef-safe sun protection
