Happy Mother's Day

Dedicated To All Moms

By Griselda Hoffman, Macaroni Kid Honolulu Publisher May 11, 2017

Aloha Macaroni Kid Honolulu Families,

I hope you've had a great week and enjoyed the Hawaii Book and Music Festival.  This Sunday is Mother's Day and I'd like to wish all the wonderful and beautiful mothers out there a Happy Mother's Day.  You deserve it!

Being a mother is a lot of work, but very rewarding.  There isn't anything better than seeing your child's first smile, giggle, or laugh.  There are many sleepless nights and stressful days, but nothing beats our child's first steps, first day of Kindergarten, first school picture or first award.  Those are the moments that make us forget about the tough times we've had as mothers.  Their accomplishments are our accomplishments and joy.

To all the stay-at-home mothers, working moms, single moms, baby wearing moms, breast-feeding moms, bottle feeding moms, military moms, soccer moms and women that have cared for and raised a child.  You are great.  You are wonderful and there is nobody else that your child loves the most.  You wipe tears, you clean boo-boos, you listen, give advice, sing songs, read books, play hide-and-seek.  You are loved.

This Mother's Day, hug your babies tighter, give extra kisses, read an extra book, listen a little longer, sing an extra song, because without them, we wouldn't have this wonderful title they call Mom.

Happy Mother's Day.
